Before you toss it in a bag, make sure the flip cap clicks shut and the lid is screwed down all the way. If the lid starts to feel stiff going on, the silicone seal may be dry — a thin layer of cooking oil on the seal helps it screw on smoothly and seat fully. If you ever have trouble, email us at [email protected]. Can I use the lid with hot drinks?Yes. The lid is made from BPA-free Tritan and works with coffee and tea. Hot drinks build up a little steam pressure, so leave some room at the top, open the flip cap slowly and point it away from your face. The Evolution keeps drinks hot for up to 5 hours. Why doesn't my drink taste like metal?Every Yogi is ceramic-lined all the way to the rim, so there's no exposed metal on any drinking surface. Sip from the lid, use a straw, or drink straight from the cup with the lid off — your lips never touch metal, and your drink tastes like your drink. The lining is also non-porous, so one drink doesn't carry over into the next. I have a nickel allergy. Can I use a Yogi?We can't give medical advice, so please check with your doctor about your own situation. Here's exactly how a Yogi is built: the inside is ceramic-lined all the way to the rim, so there's no exposed metal on any drinking surface. The body is double-wall stainless steel with a powder-coated exterior, and the lid is BPA-free Tritan. Many customers with metal sensitivities tell us that's why they chose Yogi.
