Utilizing "slip" clay, each piece is individually cast and hand-carved with original designs, reflecting the environment and culture of the Southwest. Lane applies only natural oxides to accentuate the clay’s inherent earthy tones and textures. The dur­able stoneware clay is then fired to over 2,000 degrees (F), making it impervious to the elements of nature and able to withstand rain, snow and wind. Each finished composition, signed by the artist, is a one-of-a-kind creation, faithfully reflecting the rustic harmony of the artist’s surroundings. Show more
