Cerruti Fol is a dry-white wine from producer Ezio Cerruti in Piemonte, made from purely Moscato Bianco grapes. The vineyards sit around 400 m altitude on hilly terrain in Monferrato, and the estate follows a low-intervention, natural-wine ethos, no chemical treatments and a minimalist approach in the cellar. On the nose it offers floral and aromatic overtones, musk, light white-flower hints and subtle stone-fruit or citrus notes; on the palate it’s fresh, direct and mineral-tinged, with a crisp acidity and a clean, lean finish. Fol was born from the “follia” (madness) of turning Moscato, usually associated with sweet or sparkling wines in the region, into a dry still white, which gives the wine a distinct character of freshness and purity, while remaining untraditional.
