Certosa is a UHPC concrete table designed by Giuliano Andrea dell’Uva for Forma&Cemento. It is born from the encounter between the material rigor of concrete and the timeless charm of the Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri, transforming an architectural fragment into a sculptural domestic presence. Its distinctive element lies in the perfect void of the base: an essential arch that recalls silent cloisters and Mediterranean vaults, reinterpreting classical architecture through a pure and contemporary language. The dialogue between solids and voids creates a balance that feels both monumental and light, allowing the top to appear almost suspended in space. Entirely handcrafted in UHPC concrete, Certosa fully expresses the qualities of the material: strength, tactile depth, and a silky surface that makes each piece unique, marked by the subtle variations and unrepeatable traces of artisanal craftsmanship. Designed to adapt to different settings, the table can be configured either as a monolithic piece or as a modular composition, where the top unfolds through a sequence of segments that allows the structure to expand into striking architectural dining arrangements. Available in the full Forma&Cemento color palette, Certosa naturally belongs in both indoor and outdoor environments.
