Bosan Amarone is produced from a single vineyard of 5 hectares located in the prestigious Illasi Valley. Concentrated and full-bodied, Bosan displays jammy, raisined fruit flavours. Ripe red cherry notes envelope the palate, while subtle cocoa and vanilla notes follow on the lengthy finish. The finest dried fruit is vinified in stainless steel using the traditional Amarone production method unique to the Valpolicella. Aged in a combination of French and Slavonian oak barrels for 3 years. Further aged for 12-15 months in bottle. After a ten-year experimentation, it was selected for the production of Amarone Bosan, the company's flagship product. The soil is predominantly clayey, limestone at times alluvial. The surface is about 10 hectares cultivated with Corvina 80% and Rondinella 20% with a Veronese pergola system with a density of 3300 plants per hectare. The climate is always cool and breezy and this allows to avoid stagnation of humidity, harmful to the grapes. These characteristics allow an optimal ripening of the grapes, which makes them particularly suitable for the subsequent phase of harvesting and drying. Winemaker profile: Founded in 1936, Gerardo Cesari soon became synonymous with Veronese wines in the world. Already at the beginning of the seventies, in fact, Amarone Cesari is among the first to arrive in the five continents thanks to the passion and spirit of initiative of the Cesari family, whose original vision was to want to produce a great Amarone that could compete with the best Italian and international red wines. Thus Cesari wines begin the success story in the world. Today Gerardo Cesari has further objectives: listening to the market to offer unique, elegant, harmonious and balanced wines, respecting a tradition that makes use of new knowledge in the vineyard, producing in a sustainable way for the environment and guaranteeing the consumer, thanks to a careful certification of the winemaking processes. A constantly evolving company that does not forget, however, the history of its territory and its origins.
