Cetraben Ointment is a rich emollient ointment used to moisturise and soften very dry skin associated with conditions such as eczema and dry psoriasis. Its high-paraffin formulation creates a protective barrier over the skin, helping to reduce moisture loss and restore lost skin oils. It can also be used as a skin cleanser or bath additive, making it particularly suitable where additional hydration is required beyond that provided by creams or lotions. Smooth gently over the skin in the direction of hair growth. As a soap substitute:Take a small amount of ointment and mix with warm water. Use to cleanse the skin when washing or showering, then gently pat the skin dry. As a bath additive:Melt approximately 4g (around one teaspoonful) of ointment in hot water in a suitable container. Add this mixture to the bath water and ensure the water has cooled to a suitable temperature before bathing.
