Ty Segall cohort Charles Moothart has a new CFM record on the way, titled Dichotomy Desaturated. That’s the cover art above, and he cites Black Sabbath and The Grateful Dead among the influences on this one. “There’s a lot of stuff on this record that’s extremely out of my comfort zone, but that’s what I’ve come to enjoy in music,” says Moothart. “The whole record is a constant push and pull where I’m at with my life and with music—coming to terms with the fact that all I want to do is push myself, but it becomes scary.” Check out riffy lead single “Rise and Fall” off the new album below. This album is out April 7 via In The Red, and follows the EP Homegrown Paranoia and debut album Still Life of Citrus and Slime, which you can listen to in full below.
