The Chalk S016 Tailored Shorts from Informale are a refined alternative to traditional summer shorts, drawing on the brand’s strong sartorial foundations. Made in Melbourne from a luxurious Japanese cotton twill, they feature a smooth handle with a subtle lustre that elevates them beyond casual territory. Inspired by 1950s tailoring, the cut sits high on the waist with room through the thigh, finishing at a versatile mid-thigh length. The standout details are what set the S016 apart: an extended waistband, double reverse pleats, and functional side adjusters finished in antique brass. Designed for those occasions when shorts need to feel a little sharper, they pair effortlessly with knitwear, shirts, and lightweight tailoring. Tailoring Influence, Summer Ease Built with many of the details typically reserved for tailored trousers, the S016 delivers structure and refinement while remaining comfortable through warmer weather. Whether worn with a tucked-in shirt or a simple polo, the silhouette feels considered without becoming formal. Crafted from Japanese Cotton Twill The premium Japanese cotton twill offers a smooth, substantial handle with a subtle sheen that gives the shorts a more elevated appearance. Durable, comfortable, and easy to wear, it’s a fabric chosen to improve with age.
