‘Treneague’ is a non-flowering, low-growing perennial chamomile that’s perfect for creating a beautifully-fragranced lawn. With its soft, feathery foliage, chamomile makes a wildlife-friendly alternative to conventional grass lawns and has the benefit of not needing any mowing. Win-win. Grow your ‘Treneague’ plants in an open, sunny site and position your plants 10-20cm apart in order to get the best coverage. New chamomile lawns shouldn’t be walked on for at least 12 weeks. Even once your plants are well-established, it’s a good idea to keep foot traffic light. You can add a path or stepping stones if the area is walked on regularly.
