A member of the Canadian Explorer Series and one of the bestselling of the red Canadian roses, Champlain, a shrub rose, grows vigorously and flowers heavily in continuous waves ove r a long season, from late spring to late fall. Borne in clusters, the medium-small double blooms have a slight fragrance and 25 to 30 cherry-red petals, the cooler the temperature the redder the color.
