Changeling2026Arcylic60 x 90cm “Changeling” is a self-portrait that reflects the shifting way I seemyself, both as an artist and as a person. My perception of my ownwork is constantly evolving, being shaped by new experiences andthe way others respond to what I create. This piece captures thatsense of ongoing change rather than presenting a fixed image ofidentity. The vibrant magentas, greens and yellows draw froma range of inspirations that inform my practice. These coloursecho cultural, creative, and personal influences that continue toshape the way I think about art and the way I approach making it.Each colour and layer represents fragments of these influences, coming together to form a portrait that feels fluid rather thanresolved. While creating this work, I focused on expressing anunstable self-image that shifts depending on time, context, andperspective. As an artist, my understanding of who I am andwhat my work means is never permanent. It changes as I growand encounter new ideas. “Changeling” embraces this processof transformation. Instead of presenting a definitive portrait, itreflects the ongoing negotiation between identity, creativity, andself-perception that continues to shape my practice.
