Balhannah / Oakbank Adelaide Hills The 2025 Chardonnay marks a subtle shift in direction. Rather than focusing on a single vineyard, this release brings together fruit from two Adelaide Hills vineyards- 'Manyara' in Balhannah (I10V1 clone) and 'Peacock' in Oakbank (95 clone) with the aim of expressing a stylistic Chardonnay rather than a single site wine. By using wild yeast fermentation entirely in barrel and maturing for 16 months on full solids, the wine continues the style established in previous vintages. It's generous but defined by a fine line of acidity, with savoury notes of toasted brioche, struck match and oatmeal sitting alongside restrained Adelaide Hills fruit. Familiar in style, the 2025 vintage brings a little more poise and refinement while remaining true to the wines that came before.
