Description In Charge & Spark, you and your opponent will try to reduce each other’s health to 0 or be the first to reach the goal space in the center of the board. Since there are two potential objectives, you must consider your opponent’s position and work to counter their dominant strategy—they might slip right past you if you aren’t careful! How to Play In this game, players select a card to play for the turn and reveal them simultaneously. Certain cards have effects that cancel each other (Barrier reducing damage taken, Trap or dealing damage preventing Move, Counter reflecting damage, etc.), so it is important to consider what resources your opponent has at their disposal on any given turn. After paying the associated cost (if applicable) and resolving the card effects for the turn, used cards are placed into each player’s recharge area. If there is a card already in the recharge area at this time, it returns to each player’s hand. By looking at the card in your opponent’s recharge area, you will have a better idea of what they might do next. The game proceeds as above until one player’s health tokens run out or one player reaches the goal space in the middle of the centre board.
