"We work seriously without taking ourselves seriously." Charles NegreThis workshop explores still life photography through a conceptual and applied approach to image-making. Led by Charles Negre, participants will develop a deeper understanding of set design, studio photography, the challenges of constructed images, and the creative processes behind them.Over four days, participants will experience the different stages of a complete editorial project, from research and concept development to production, shooting, editing, and public presentation. Through practical experimentation and collective discussion, the workshop encourages participants to sharpen their sensitivity to objects, composition, and visual storytelling while gaining valuable insight into both personal and commercial photographic practices.Several studio sets will be available throughout the workshop, featuring a variety of objects and still life arrangements to photograph and interpret. Participants will also benefit from one-to-one mentoring with Charles Negre, who will provide individual guidance on concept development, image-making, editing, and project direction.
