Universal goggle retainer, for holding ski-type goggle straps in place on helmets which don't come with a goggle retainer. A strip of self-adhesive loop fastener tape is applied to the back of the helmet to which the goggle retainer can then be easily attached (and removed). The goggle retainer can be easily opened and closed by means of a push button (press stud) to insert the goggle strap.
