Original Oil By Trijsten Leach Art Size: 8" x 10" Framed Art: 11" x 13" This piece was painted on location in Chartres France. Ever since studying art history in college, I had wan ted to see this Cathedral. Each of its two spires were built in different eras, one with classic roman architecture, and the other with gothic architecture. For me the most impressive part of the cathedral is the fascade with all of its amazing and intricate sculptures and designs. This was the focus of my painting albeit with implied detail. Artist Bio: Trijsten Leach grew up in the Santa Cruz mountains of California and gained an early love of the forests, oceans and mountains. Growing up he spent his time surfing, hiking, biking with brothers and friends, as well as playing sports. He earned a BFA from Brigham Young University Hawaii, where he lived for three years studying art and the beach. After graduation Trijsten would move to central Utah where he met his wife and now currently resides with her and his four children. It was seven years after graduation before Trijsten would start painting professionally. Since that time he has received numerous awards from various plein air competitions in the west, and has done numerous solo exhibitions of his work. For the past seven years he has traveled abroad with his family, painting along the way and enjoying the beauty of new places and cultures.
