Dixey & Son was established in London in 1777 by William Fraser. Over the following 240 years, the company has served seven successive kings and queens of England as well as making Napoleon Bonaparte’s telescope. The company has also created optical aids for nine other royal houses, including the emperors of China and India. The timeless simplicity of their spectacle designs has caught the eye of the stylish and debonair, with their most famous customers including Sir Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming. Still based in London, C.W. Dixey’s famous frames are now handmade in France.
