Château La Bourrée is owned by Jean-François Meynard — a former champion French rower who brings the same discipline and passion to his vineyard as he did to the water. Located in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, the appellation borders Saint-Émilion and produces wines of similar character and quality at a fraction of the price. Meynard runs his vineyard following the principles of reasoned agriculture — not quite organic, but as close as possible, with complete respect for the environment.
