The Chateau pillow is designed for sleepers that prefer firmer support. If you would like very firm support, choose the firm version. This pillow has a center core of 20/80 down/fe ather, surrounded by a soft layer of white goose down. Most pillows of this type on the market have a center filled with nothing but feather, which we find flattens out too easily. Our testing has found that this blend of down and feathers stays puffy, and re-fluffs easily. The outer fabric shell is our 300TC SoLoft™ German 100% cotton twill, made specifically for down. It is dust mite and down proof. These pillows are machine washable but will take a little extra drying time. We recommend washing these pillows in pairs, and only when soiled. We strongly recommend using a good quality washable pillow protector.
