A checked pear shader stamp for creating depth and shadow. P975: Tiny 4mm x 3mm (1/8" x 3/32") P236: Extra Small 6 x 4mm (15/64" x 5/32") P217: Small 10mm x 5mm (7/16" x 3/16") P213: Medium 12mm x 7mm (15/32" x 17/64") P212: Large 10mm x 5mm (25/64" x 3/16") A pear shaped stamp (sometimes called a 'thumb print' in Sheridan Style work) used to burnish (polish and darken) the leather to give design depth and shadow. The stamp can be 'walked', a technique of hitting and moving to overlap in a continuous motion to create a smoothed impression. Note: sizes are approximate and are given as height by width. SPECIFICATION: Carving stamps are made from a high quality ferrous steel which gives a consistent sharp and clear impression time after time. These can be identified from cheaper metal alternatives by checking to see if they are magnetic. Each tool has an integral steel handle measuring approximately 10.5cm, 4 ¼” and has a textured non-slip area for easier gripping.
