Checkmate is a special rhododendron cultivar as it has unique dark green to bronze foliage, which makes an exceptional canvas for it's vibrant spring blooms. Its prolific pink-lave nder flowers often start as early as March and last into April. It has so much character, and we invite you to scroll the our photos to observe its lovely nuances. This dwarf PJM descendant has an attractive compact growth habit, so it's excellent for rock gardens, container growing, accents, and small growing areas.
