Cherry-flavored drink produced in North Carolina. Cheerwine is the oldest running soft drink company owned by the founding family. L.D. Peeler created Cheerwine in 1917 in Salisbur y, North Carolina. Peeler purchased a wild cherry flavor from a St. Louis salesman. The burgundy color and cheerful bubbles led to the "Cheerwine" name. Sometimes called the 'Nectar of North Carolina', Cheerwine has a refreshing, bubbly flavor that is boldly cherry and is sure to add some cheer to your life when you try it.
