The Cheese House is a serving piece made from three materials, each worked by hand. The base is forged from 304 stainless steel and hand-textured at the forge. The dome is sunken from 2.3mm copper sheet, shaped gradually over many passes until it holds its form. The handle is turned from reclaimed black walnut and pinned to the dome with a sterling silver pin. It works well as a cheese dome, a cloche for butter or charcuterie, or a cover for anything at the table you want to keep fresh or reveal with some ceremony. The copper dome will develop a patina over time. If you prefer to keep it bright, a quick polish will bring it back.
