The Ottomatic brews with Chemex's proprietary "Greedy Cup" shower head. The brew cycle is staged to account for pre-infusion, contact time between water and coffee, even wetting of the grounds, and consistent temperature between 197.6F - 204.8F. The Ottomatic comes packaged with a 6-Cup Chemex Classic coffee maker, though it is compatible with all but the very largest Chemex coffee makers. When brewing with the Ottomatic, simply fill the reservoir to the line that corresponds with the size of your coffee maker (3, 5, 6, 8) and place your coffee maker under the shower head. Each Ottomatic comes packaged with a 6-Cup Chemex Classic series coffee maker so you don't need to purchase additional equipment to start brewing.
