Chemistry is an integral part of the world we live in. It is used to learn about everything from iPhone cases to medicine. Many majors in college require at least one semester of Chemistry. This college-prep chemistry course is designed for the student who has completed algebra. Sixteen modules cover: measurement and units; atomic and molecular structures; polyatomic ions; molecular geometry; stoichiometry; acid-base chemistry; thermodynamics; kinetics; and chemical equilibrium. Lessons integrate “On Your Own” questions to check for review and comprehension throughout the lesson, as well as examples, tables, and images where helpful. Modules end with a study guide that includes review questions and practice questions, along with answers to the “On Your Own” questions. Additional help sessions are offered weekly for a nominal fee throughout the year as required. Regular quizzes and tests will be administered.
