This is a chemistry course designed for home schooled students who have completed Algebra 1. The text for the course is written in a conversational style, making it easy to read and understand. It contains thorough examples, experiments designed to be done in the home, and detailed solutions to all student exercises. It also contains tests (with answers) to be taken at the end of each module. Parents who have no science background at all find that this course makes easy the task of helping their children learn chemistry. The experiments all use household chemicals and you can do most of the experiments with household utensils. Nevertheless, some of the more difficult experiments do require specialized equipment and some students prefer working with "real" laboratory supplies.
