Chenille ribbed fabric is constructed by weaving specialty yarns—formed by twisting short lengths of pile between two core threads—into a structured parallel formation, forming a plush, tactile textile. Its dimensional surface reveals pronounced linear ridges and a dense pile, rooted in the tufted construction of the chenille fibres. This ribbed weaving process establishes a rhythmic surface relief and a soft, deeply textured response to ambient light. This chenille ribbed fabric was sourced by hand, selected specifically for its pronounced ridges and dense yarn structure that impart a rich tactile depth. Utilising state-of-the-art PBR capture methodologies, the material's surface nuances are accurately digitised, post-processed, and tiled for seamless continuity. Validated across various lighting conditions, this texture set delivers a true-to-life representation optimised for upholstery visualisations and soft furnishing close-ups.
