"Every year like clockwork, for more than a quarter of a century, Cathy Corison's wines have offered proof positive that Napa can deliver a timeless, tension-filled wine." - Jon Bonné in The New California Wine "Cathy Corison is my heroine. She makes such great wine - the essence of Napa Valley minus the bludgeoning force..." - Master of Wine and Author of The Oxford Companion to Wine, Jancis Robinson Cathy Corison has been producing some of the most hailed and interesting Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons since she opened her winery in 1987. When other producers shifted towards higher alcohol, heavier and bolder Cabernet Sauvignons in the 1990s (the so-called Robert Parker Effect), Cathy chose to go a different route, stating that, "I believe that a house needs to stand for something." She stood, and it's paid off in spades. Her wines are marked by an elegance and beauty rarely found in California. Her Napa Valley Cabernet is hand-harvested early so as to showcase the full spectrum of flavors and aromas Cabernet Sauvignon has to offer. Showing cherry, blueberry, plum and cassis with licorice, incense and cedarwood, the wine in medium to full-bodied, with silk tannins, an perfectly balanced acidity. 13.6% ABV
