Repeat contest winner Dorothy Warrell, uses Mary Maxim Starlette in white and light grey in the pictured example, however any two contrasting colors could be used to create a plaid that will delight the eye. While creating the Chequered Plaid Throw, the crocheter will be kept both entertained and engaged by the pattern. Although the pattern may seem intricate, it uses only single crochet stitches while changing colors and manipulating the yarn without cutting and creating ends to weave. Mary Maxim Starlette yarn is a worsted weight yarn that is easy to work and when necessary, carry under working stitches and create a look such as the one in the Chequered Plaid Throw. The Chequered Plaid Throw will keep the crafter busy and involved while the graphs change back and forth to create the designs necessary.
