Chergui by Serge Lutens takes its name from the hot, dry wind that blows across Morocco from the Sahara. With notes of tobacco, hay, amber, and honey, it sounds like it might be da rk and heavy, but on skin Chergui is surprisingly easy to wear. Tobacco and hay give the fragrance a warm, dry quality, while amber and honey add a gentle sweetness. Iris softens the edges, with sandalwood, musk, and incense adding warmth and depth. The notes blend together beautifully, making Chergui feel much softer and smoother than its note list might suggest.
