Cherry ‘Bing’(Sweet Cherry) ‘Bing’ is one of the most widely grown sweet cherry varieties, valued for its large, glossy fruit and rich flavor. The deep red cherries mature to nearl y black and have firm, meaty purple flesh that is juicy and sweet. The fruit is excellent for fresh eating and typically ripens in July. This vigorous tree requires another compatible sweet cherry variety nearby for pollination. Good pollinating partners include ‘Black Tartarian’, ‘Stella’, and ‘Regina’. ‘Lambert’ is not a compatible pollinator.
