Rogue Jerky Co. Cherry Chipotle Beef Jerky (2 oz) Traverse City, Michigan produces more tart cherries than almost anywhere else on earth, and Rogue built their best flavor around them. Cherry juice concentrate from that exact region goes into every bag, and it hits first — bright, slightly tart, unmistakably fruit. Then the chipotle rolls in behind it with a slow, smoky heat that lingers well past the last bite. Sweet-heat done with real ingredients, not a flavoring packet. The marinade is built from beef, cherry juice concentrate from Traverse City, sugar, chipotle, natural smoke flavor, sea salt, and citric acid — nothing synthetic, nothing hiding behind vague labels. It's gluten-free, soy-free, and preservative-free, and at 90 calories and 9 grams of protein per serving, it's one of the cleaner ways to eat something this good. Small-batch production out of Rockford, Michigan means quality control that a mass-market operation simply can't replicate. This is the bag you crack open at a winery tasting, next to a sharp aged gouda and some dark chocolate. It works just as well on a trail or in a truck — the sweet-smoke combo is easy to eat in any context. If you're putting together a jerky sampler or a gift box that needs a standout, this is the one that gets people asking questions. The Maker Rogue Jerky Co. is a Rockford, Michigan outfit named after the Rogue River that runs through their hometown. They spent years perfecting their recipes, and the Cherry Chipotle — built around cherry juice concentrate sourced from Traverse City, the self-proclaimed cherry capital of the world — is their flagship. In 2025, JerkyGent ranked it the best beef jerky in America after testing over 50 craft brands. That's not marketing copy, that's a verdict.
