Cherry Drop forms part of 'Sweet Shop', a collection of handblown glassware in a range of zesty colourways evoking memories of the traditional sweet shop. A collaborative project with Kilkenny-based studio Jerpoint, we spent time experimenting with colour, shape, and tactility before finalizing the collection, which consists of a stemmed glass, tumbler, and carafe. Beautifully crafted, exclusive to Irish Design Shop. This playful stemmed glass is perfect for all your favourite drinks. Its vibrant colours of cherry and blue on the stem and base highlight the crystal-clear hand-blown glass. With a generous 300ml capacity, it’s just right for a Spritz or evening G&T. The clear part of the piece is blown from molten glass taken from the furnace, while the coloured elements are dipped in coloured powdered glass, and then shaped and formed around the blown part. Each glass is sold separately, so you can choose a matching pair or mix different colours from the collection to create a punchy set.
