Chesnok Red is a hardneck garlic of the Purple Stripe variety. It averages 8-11 small cloves per bulb. Chesnok Red wrappers are streaked with purple and have deep purple skin aroun d the cloves. Stores for 4-6 months under proper conditions. Flavour: Chesnok Red is often referred to the best tasting garlic. It is very sweet and flavourful with medium heat, resembling a sweet onion. Chesnok Red is known for its incredible healing properties and therefore favoured in herbal medicine. It is great for baking, stews, garlic ice cream and used raw.
