Cheyenne, Wyoming, was founded in 1867 and is young compared to cities on the Eastern Seaboard. Cheyenne exists because of the expansion of railroads from coast to coast, and altho ugh it was originally a tent city, solid structures began to appear as people settled in the area. It was wild and lawless in the beginning, but with the introduction of the cattle industry, it became a wealthy and refined community. Show more
