Virenarayan Singh, Popularly Known As Chhote Sarkar, Was Strongly Opposed To Atrocities, Injustice And Exploitation. As Soon As He Became A Landlord, He Got An Opportunity To Display All These Qualities. In 1856, There Was A Severe Famine In The Sonakhan Region Of Chhattisgarh. People Started Starving. To Protect The Lives Of The People, He Took Out The Grain From The Warehouse Of Makhan, A Merchant Of Kasdol And Distributed It Among The Hungry Subjects. Then, The Officials Of The Then British Rule Punished This Effective And Patriotic Leader By Hanging And Robbing Him Mercilessly.
