Fantastic hand selected polished Chiastolite slices, these slices are excellent examples of the carbon/graphite cross this mineral is renowned for. You will receive one Chiastolite crystal slice each one is approx 26mm - 32mm across, an example of the ones we have is shown in the photos. A rare variety of Andalusite which forms with a black cross consisting of carbon and black graphite, best shown off when the specimen is sliced across. Although Chiastolite is made primarily of Andalusite, this form was actually recorded first in 1754, over 40 years before Andalusite was officially recorded.
