The Chickadee DoubleTap is a compact, ultra-lightweight iambic Morse code paddle designed for amateur radio operators who want a durable and highly portable way to send CW. Built around mechanical keyboard components, the DoubleTap brings the responsive feel of a mechanical keyboard switch to an iambic paddle. Separate dit and dah controls provide a crisp, consistent action while keeping the entire paddle incredibly small, lightweight, and durable. Designed with POTA, SOTA, QRP, and portable operators in mind, the Chickadee DoubleTap takes up very little room in your radio bag and adds minimal weight to your portable station. Key Features Iambic Paddle Operation — Independent dit and dah inputs and selector switch to reverse inputs. Mechanical Keyboard-Based Switches — Uses keyboard components for a responsive and consistent key press with switch life over 50M Cycles Ultra-Lightweight — At about 0.5oz very light and portable. Built for Portable CW Traditional iambic paddles can be heavy and bulky—two things you don't necessarily want when carrying your station into the field. The Chickadee DoubleTap takes a different approach. By utilizing compact mechanical keyboard components, the DoubleTap provides the functionality of an iambic paddle in a small, lightweight package that's easy to take anywhere. Whether you're activating a park, hiking to a summit, operating QRP from a campsite, or simply looking for a compact paddle for your home station, the DoubleTap is ready to go wherever your radio takes you. It's an excellent companion for Parks on the Air (POTA), Summits on the Air (SOTA), QRP operations, field kits, portable stations, and everyday CW practice. Two Paddles. Minimal Weight. Maximum Fun. Pack your radio. Grab the DoubleTap. Get on the air. 73 and happy keying!
