Get the knowledge you need to expertly prepare chicken at home. One of our favourite knife styles is the honesuki or Japanese poultry knife. If you enjoy making kebabs or just want to learn how to break down a chicken to make chicken and waffles, a honesuki, combined with the knowledge of how to use it, is a great addition to your arsenal. For $150, you will receive two chickens from a local, sustainable butcher to learn on and a $75 credit to you in-store towards your very own honesuki or boning knife. One of our staff will teach you how to break down the birds in preparation for two recipes: buttermilk fried chicken and boneless for skewering, which you will then finish preparing at home. This is a very small class with a lot of one-on-one learning so space is extremely limited. Halal chicken options are available by request. Unfortunately, we cannot allow minors in our classes.
