"Chikurin" means bamboo forest. The Marumoto Brewery is located at the foot of the Chikurin Temple Mountains, which offer sparkling, clear mountain water and fertile soil ideal for rice and sake. The brewery is often referred to as a "farmer's brewery" because it also grows rice. Their sustainability and dedication to their craft enable the highest quality sake production. A dry, balanced sake with subtle aromas of steamed rice, dried fruits, and chestnuts. A dense rice and umami note spreads on the palate. It has a beautifully complex, rounded flavour thanks to the blending of different vintages (approx. 3-5%). Show more
