I'm British. Anyone who knows British culture will know that it is built on the foundation of a good supper. The Sunday roast will always take the lead as a classic, but close behi nd is a plate of fish and chips. This was a staple on the menu for me growing up, served with a side of green peas and plenty of chippies to go around. Brits aren't known for song and dance like some places and we don't all have nonnas passing down generation-old recipes and techniques for preparation, but we do share our humble chippy tea.
