My father taught us to work the land and once promised to give me a ‘granito de oro’—a little grain of gold—as a reward for my good behavior and obedience. It became a dream for me. Though we lived humbly and had few resources, our greatest wealth was the legacy of experiences and the practice of strong values. That’s why I named the inherited land Granito de Oro, a place that preserves ancestral traditions, family heritage, and a deep love for nature. I’m proud to say I’m a farmer by tradition and a third-generation coffee grower. Today, it’s a family project where, together with my wife and a group of women heads of household, we work every day with dedication to produce a differentiated coffee—one that reflects unique flavors and aromas and highlights the richness of our region.
