The Hirosaki region of northern Japan is famous for its crop of delicious apples. The apple trees themselves, when no longer productive, are often cut up to be used as firewood or simply discarded. This unique collection makes fresh use of this underused resource, as the apple wood is worked and reborn as useful and beautifully detailed bath accessories. The warm beauty of the apple wood is offset by a white marble-like acrylic resin base, which protects the item from water.
