Allium schoenoprasum Chives are showy, herbaceous, clumping plants with grass-like leaves. They grow from small bulbs which need to be kept clear of weeds. For best results, water and feed with organic fertiliser during the warmer months. Position: Full sun to part shade. Spacing: 25cm apart. Harvest: 6-8 weeks. Planting Guide: Cultivate area to a depth of 15cm. Mix fertiliser at the recommended rates. If planting into a pot, use a Premium potting mix. Show more
