You do whatever makes you happy. On top we usually do a split decoration. Half chocolate shavings. Half sprinkles or something pretty. Or if you want it fully covered in one thing that's fine too. Kids parties where half the class wants chocolate and half wants vanilla. Teacher's pet move right there. Honestly? People who just want options. More cake is never a bad thing.
