Chocolate 2x2 — Deep Brown Zellige Mosaic Tile A rich, wine-brown with real depth and a hint of oxblood beneath the surface. This is the color of a well-worn leather saddle, or dar k chocolate broken open to show the grain inside — dense, warm, never a flat, even brown. Chocolate is the darkest of our warm tones, closer to aged mahogany than to anything sitting lighter on the spectrum, and it's long been a favorite for grounding a space with real warmth without the boldness of Rouge. Up close, each tile shifts from a deep reddish-brown to a near-black at the edges, keeping a full Chocolate wall from ever reading as one flat tone. Mounted on mesh sheets for a straightforward, clean installation, Chocolate 2×2 reads as a cleaner, more architectural grid than the 1×1 — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where the wall itself should hold presence. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, walnut, and Venetian plaster. Each sheet covers one square foot. As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone and texture is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw.
