Cholinex is a medicinal product for use in inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, pain and swelling of the throat. Indications: Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, pain and swelling of the throat accompanying inflammation, as a drug supporting antibiotic therapy of infections of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, in the dental treatment of inflammation of the gums and periodontal tissues. Composition: The active substance is: choline salicylate (Cholini salicylas). 1 tablet contains 150 mg of choline salicylate. Excipients: isomalt, liquid malitol, aspartame (E 951), acesulfame potassium, peppermint oil. The product does not contain sugar. Dosage: Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Drug for use in the oral cavity. Maximum of 6 lozenges a day. Children over 12 years of age and adults: 1 lozenge suck 4 to 6 times a day. If your sore throat does not improve within 1 to 2 days, see your doctor. Action: Cholinex has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Choline salicylate reduces swelling, congestion of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. It also increases the secretion of saliva, which supports the anti-inflammatory effect. Contraindications: When not to use Cholinex if you are allergic to the active substance, salicylates, other NSAIDs or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, if you have oesophageal varices (haemorrhage risk), phenylketonuria.
