Introducing Choose Love, a bold, punk-inspired, dirty ink display typeface crammed full of loverly print details. The font was created with an ink brayer on paper, so it’s all handmade. I had a lot of fun making it, but now it’s ready to take on the world. It has a bold attitude, slightly punk in appearance, with an I’ll go anywhere attitude. But, as each letter was hand-printed, it has a ton of imperfections and dirt, and that’s its strength. Choose Love font has a lot of alternative letters and ligatures, making it even more unique. Mix them, and you can create fantastic type lockups that look like you have printed them yourself. Choose Love was made for headlines and looks excellent on poster designs, branding and packaging, t-shirts, invitations, books—anything where you want that alternative hand lettering feel. Alternative Glyphs Each A to Z letterform has at least three alternatives —The result of those additional characters? First, you can change out repeating letters to make your work look more spontaneous, less repetitive and less like a typeface. Ligatures Choose Love also has ligatures. In fact, the ligatures are in their own typeface. You can turn them on via the glyphs panel in Adobe apps or select them via the glyphs panel. The ligatures feature many popular two-letter combinations that make your creations look even more special. Opentype The Alternatives and Ligatures use OpenType features. You will need a design application to access these alternatives—an application such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign. Choose Love font includes; Three fonts SVG, Ligature and standard Uppercase glyphs only (This font is unicase) Punctuation and Symbols Numbers The standard font has support for Central, Western and South-Eastern European characters. The font format is OTF, and you will need an application with OpenType access to get the full benefit of the typeface. OpenType SVG Bitmap font Choose Love uses the new OpenType-SVG Bitmap font format. A traditional vector font has one colour and no transparency. Choose Love has complete transparency and thousands of shades of black and grey. In addition, the OpenType-SVG Bitmaps technology gives the font more detail than the old font format. OpenType SVG, please read. OpenType-SVG bitmap is a new technology. Support is limited but improving. OpenType-SVG Bitmaps fonts only work in the latest versions of Photoshop CC2017+ and Illustrator CC 2018+, plus a handful of other native OSX apps. They also work on the more modern versions of Windows again only in Photoshop CC2017+ and Illustrator CC 2018+. Windows users, you might not see your letters when you install the font, but it does work in the applications mentioned above. Adobe Indesign does not fully support OpenType-SVG bitmap fonts—so buy this at your own risk. You have been warned. Image backups: If your software is too old, I’ve provided high-resolution images, so you can still manually compose letterforms inside Photoshop or your application of choice. If Choose Love font were a celebrity If the Choose Love font were a celebrity, it would be the rebellious and unconventional artist Banksy. Just as Banksy is known for their street art that challenges norms and inspires creativity, Choose Love font captures a similar sense of boldness and artistic expression in the world of typography.
