Interestingly enough, the orchestra backing on Christmas was recorded live in Ireland, giving Velasquez the framework she needs to build her melodic magic. Whether it's the dreamy "I'll Be Home for Christmas" or the warm and comfy "The Christmas Song," Velasquez is gifted with a certain timeless quality when she sings.
