It is the time of year when we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior! It brings a new layer of responsibility for Worship Teams. Song lists grow quickly, which means lots of time spent learning songs and creating patches. We created this patch to simplify that for you. We include two patches that capture many popular tones that will work perfectly for most Christmas Songs. Christmas Praise and Worship songs are highly ambient, rarely have modulation but utilize pitch shift (POG). We typically see more high cuts on time-based FX that give delays a more percussive quality. We worked diligently to capture that. Each patch has two ambient cleans, two gain presets, two leads, and swells. Patch 1 (Matchstick Amp - Tyler IR’s from Alter Amp Works): We utilize the latest updates from Line 6 to accurately replace popular Christmas tones (make sure you grab your 3.7 update from Line 6). We use the Feedbacker Delay on specific presets to add a subtle high octave up on delay trails that works perfectly for leads and swells. We also utilize the Prize Drive, which in our opinion is now the best overdrive that Line 6 offers. The patch has two ambient cleans, two gain stage presets, two leads, and two swells. Patch 2 (Matchstick Amp - Tyler IR’s from Alter Amp Works): This patch focuses on pitch shift patches that represent many of today’s popular Christmas songs. To accurately create that sound, use the Poly POG on multiple presets. Like patch one, it has plenty of presets that capture ambient tones, two gain stages, leads, and a swell. Simplify your Sunday morning preparation! This Helix Patch includes high-quality Impulse Responses (IRs) from Alter Amp Works. We have been thoroughly impressed with how these IRs enhance the sound and, in our opinion, improve the overall "feel" and "response" of the model.
